MACHINIST – LIVE TOOLING
Position Summary
CNC Machinist with Live Tooling is responsible for performing essential duties to ensure that parts are machined to the specifications detailed by the engineering prints and other related documents.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Review specifications to determine setup procedure, machine sequence and dimensions.
- Reads complex blueprints, routers, set-up sheets and programs to determine product requirements.
- Select fixtures, part holding, and tooling to machine parts as necessary.
- Confirms conformance of finished work to specifications by filling out data sheets and using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
- Proactively identifies workmanship and material defects.
- Ability to initiate program changes when required.
- Hold tolerance +/-.001
Certifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of Fanuc control.
- Experience working with Mori Seiki machines a must.
- Demonstrated ability to setup a machine and run the job with minimal supervision.
- Experience with live tooling is a must.
- Strong math and computing knowledge.
- Knowledge of general safety procedures.
- Knowledge of G, D & T.
- Ability to meet production requirements and run router times as specified.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate English fluently.
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in CNC manufacturing and Live Tooling.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 25 pounds constantly to move objects. Ability to climb stairs and a ladder as required.
